Ginger K. McKinnon

My name is Ginger K. McKinnon. My training started in 1994 where I worked for ADHES part-time as the office manager and creating court exhibits / illustration charts while studying the forensic document examination course. In 1996, I was trained on several copy machines and software programs for Kinko’s to assist others in creating the perfect document, flyer, announcement, and presentations both large and small. Throughout the years, I have worked with various software programs to help illustrate the findings of various cases for Linda James under her direction. I have also created numerous training manuals and other office forms using such software. I have assisted in creating many presentations through PowerPoint.

In 2006, I successfully completed the written exam as required for Board Certification and opened the Austin Branch of ADHES, where I continued to mentor under Linda James. December 2012, we closed the Austin Branch and in January 2013, I became full-time office manager and junior examiner for the Plano office. My knowledge is based on 20+ years of working extensive hours with different software programs and evolving my skills as technology changes. I have over 10 years of direct, first-hand experience of forensic document and handwriting case work and tutelage on technical equipment combined. I have been attending continuing education classes pertinent to my field since 2005. I have presented or assisted in presenting 7 times to fraud examiners, licensed investigators, and other examiners in my field.

In 2019, at the National Association of Document Examiners (NADE) 40th Conference, I completed my pursuit of Board Certification by passing the oral examination and all requirements set forth by NADE. Since 2008, I have been the chairperson on various Board positions for NADE. Currently, I am the Bylaws Chairperson for NADE. I hold memberships with National Association of Document Examiners (NADE), Fraud Investigator’s Association of Texas (FIAT), and Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association (TCDLA). More than 1 year ago, I accepted partnership in ADHES and am very excited to work along-side Linda James.
